For family night this week, some friends of ours let us come over and help them feed their baby cows. They just got 6 calves over the weekend that will need to be bottle fed twice a day. Our kids were so excited to go over and help out. Here we are heading out back to see the cows.
Mia and Luke were not so sure about the cows once we got in the fence. Though they are babies, they still weigh around 100 pounds and they were all very anxious to get their bottles. The little kids were kind of scared when the cows would come toward them or get a little over-anxious for their milk. You can tell by Mia's face this was not her favorite part.
Addy and Halle both thought it was a lot of fun and had a great time.
Mia and Luke felt much more at home in the chicken coop with animals they could run after and scare, instead of 100 pound calves that wanted to lick them (I think Luke thought the cows were trying to eat him). Here, Mia was telling me all about her observations of the chickens.
Luke just kept trying to coax the chickens out of the barn. Thanks, Christensens, for letting us come over and have a great time!

What fun! We love to visit the baby cows when we go to Wyoming, but I've never gotten to feed them from a bottle! Great family night activity. Your family is too cute.
