A Kansas 4th

We learned our first year in Kansas how crazy they go for the 4th of July. I love it. As far as fireworks go, nothing is illegal and there are fireworks stands on every corner. Our neighbors go crazy. It's like a huge fireworks show in our culdesac. This year was no different. Sadly, I didn't think to take any pictures of the actual fireworks. I was too busy dodging the fallout and embers! Our neighborhood also hosts a parade with firetrucks and everything. All the kids decorate their bikes, wagons, etc. and ride behind the firetrucks. The kids had a blast and Ryan and I about sweat to death. It was great fun and made memories. (By the way, Luke had a little chocolate from a smore right before this picture).
