18 months

***Sorry about the pictures not showing up before. I think I got it taken care of. :)

(Getting ready to go out in the snow. Grow some hair already--geez!)

I know I always say this but the time has really flown (and technically she was 18 months Jan. 1st, but who's counting?) Thought I'd share a little bit about my favorite baby girl. She has a shoe obsession and will try on any shoes she can get her feet into and walk around the house in them. Her favorites are Mia's sparkly silver church shoes but she also likes Luke's slip-on church shoes.

She's having a vocabulary explosion at the moment. She will copy almost anything we say. The big kids love using this to their advantage to make her say naughty things and then laugh their heads off about it. If you ask her "What's Halle?" she will most likely answer "butt!" You can guess who taught her that (Addy). For the record, that's not a word that's allowed at our house. It sends all the kids, even Halle, into hysterics every time she says it. And, of course, a laughing crowd makes her want to say it again and again.

She is very independent and wants to do everything by herself. She can climb up into her booster seat at the table and buckle herself when it's time to eat. Most days, she thinks she's too big to sit in a booster and would rather stand at a big chair or just climb up into the middle of the table at dinnertime. It's really great (sarcasm intended). She tries really hard to get her clothes on (but doesn't do quite so well yet). She loves to talk on the phone (or an old calculator she thinks is a phone), play on the computer and do whatever the big kids are doing. She is trying her hardest to jump but can't quite get those little feet off the floor yet. She gives it her best try, though. It's pretty cute. She also loves baby dancing, giving kisses and wrestling her siblings.

(It's a serious picture of her but I love how her blue eyes pop and that there's only half of my face due to a poor self-portrait)

Daddy is still her favorite person. Her universe pretty much revolves around him. If he's home, she has to be right by him or in his arms. All the rest of our kiddos preferred me at this age so it's kind of nice when she wants daddy 24-7. (Who do you want to change your diaper? Daddy! You've got to give a girl what she wants, you know?)

(Favorite past time this week-drawing marker all over her face. She's done it 4 times in the last 3 days)

She is such a happy, friendly little girl. She loves waving and saying hi to everyone she meets. She can be a little feisty sometimes, though. But if she didn't have some personality, she wouldn't be a Wilson. We love her to pieces!

She's still set to marry Ollie, right? For some reason, my computer isn't showing the pictures of her.

Love that girl. I'm also glad to hear she colors her face. She and Morgan will be tight.
