Our good friend, Bev, lives only a few minutes away and has 2 horses and a great place outdoors for the kids to play. We went to get some manure for our garden. The kids were oh so excited. They actually wanted to help for about the first two minutes and then they ran off and played.
Bev has a nice, big apple tree with perfectly ripe apples that the kids helped themselves to. They were in heaven. They also spent some time picking dead cicada skins off the trees. If you've never seen any, they are actually pretty cool if you can get past the gross bug part of them.
Addy actually took these next two pictures of Halle and their friend, Kyra, admiring the horses in the barn.
I thought this was kind of a cool one with the angle and the horse in the background. It was a beautiful day with perfect 70's weather and we had a great time.
