The boy is four. I'm not going to say it (time flies). We sure love this guy. He's such a good sport about having all these sisters. He'll play house with Mia but he's definitely still a boys' boy. He loves wrestling, Star Wars, building things and teasing his sisters. It's quite impressive when he makes even Addy and Halle super mad. He's the house expert at Cut the Rope on the iPad. He can whiz through every level with his eyes closed practically. He also loves schooling his mom at Memory and putting puzzles together. And he's best buddies with Claire and is quick to defend her if anyone isn't treating her nicely. At the end of the day, he'll still let me snuggle him. How could we ask for anything more?
He was pretty excited to get a bike this year. He rode it all around the house on Sunday and then took it to the road yesterday on all the paths in our neighborhood.
Addy made him a Yoda cake this year. We celebrated on Sunday with Ryan since he was going to be out of town the rest of the week for work. Today he's going to a jumpy bounce-house place with two of his best buddies and then home for lunch and cupcakes.
Williams-Sonoma helped us out with a sweet Star Wars cupcake kit for his actual birthday. I frosted the cupcakes and Luke did the sprinkles and the figures. He even let Claire help. He's nice that way.

How is that guy four?! He is so adorable.
I wish your kids would come persuade mine that bikes are FUN. My kids think they're instruments of torture! It makes me crazy!
Awesome, happy birthday Luke! And nice ride!! Jake always recommends pulling the cranks and pedals off the bike first and letting them scoot around on the bike for a few weeks to get their balance down, then put everything back on. It will take a day or 2 after that for them to get the hang of peddaling but then they can ride a 2-wheeler! Its easier for them than transitioning from relying on training wheels and saves parents from running behind the bike holding onto the seat. All my kids rode 2 wheelers around age 3, and JD even earlier than that. Its seems crazy, but definitely works! Have fun Luke - and I love that you let them ride around the house before the maiden voyage outside - that's so cool! You guys are awesome. :)
ackk. I forgot to call. We'll make it up to him.
